To me winter gets official when the first cooking pears are made. The entire house fills with a warm cinnamon scent and I just love it.
If felt kind of strange to make them now, when I really long for spring to come around.
But sometimes it’s fun to do something that’s not too obvious and enjoy the outcome. They were served along with chicken from the oven and roasted potatoes.
What can I say, I just love a good winter meal :-)
