In my previous post I showed you some of my inspiration for our new kitchen. I came across this super hilarious and beautiful cinematic lightbox from BXX light a while ago on the internet. But when I saw it in action last weekend I knew that I have to get it, someday.
They come with a hefty pricetag but I totally think it’s worth it.
But the real question is… wich one do you choose?
Because….. I want it all :-)
You guys, we have some drastic changes coming up. We are moving!
For several reasons actually, it’s quite fast because we’ve only lived here for five years now. But hey, you won’t hear me complaining. I mean: a whole new house to style and decorate?!
Ever since we made the decision I’ve been browsing the web constantly for inspiration and to my own surprise the most pictures I’ve collected are for the kitchen. I kind of want the feeling like I’ve just entered one of my favourite coffee-and-pie (or cookies/cupcakes for that matter) place. Concrete floors, tiles, a small bar, industrial lamps, old wooden doors..
I think that when we mix old and new materials we can create a cool and cozy kitchen.
It will probably be a while before we move out but that gives me more time to look for the style we want.
Now, coffee and cake anyone?
PS: My blog has a brand new look, do you like it?
Okay. It took me a while but it’s time to let go of summer and welcome fall.
I’m always struggling this thime of year, simply because I live for the long, light days of spring and summer. When the evening starts to fall earlier and earlier I can’t help feeling a bit down. But at the same time I love to shift my wardrobe and interior into fall.
And boy, there is so much good stuff going on this fall when it comes to home trends. I love to see that more budget chains are doing a great job with new collections that are well-matched with more expensive and trendsetting brands. When you mix and match lower priced items with more expensive classic eyecatchers you can create your own affordable style.
Speaking of a lovely new collection (that’s also well priced), meet the 101 Woon-collectie at Leen Bakker from 101 Woonideeën.
These images are an instant mood changer and made me embrace fall to the fullest. I mean, what’s not to love about it?
You can find the collection online at Leen Bakker and in stores.
It’s been a while since I posted an update of our bedroom.
Everything is pretty much the same, ofcourse I did move a few things around (you know me).
I still love our black walls, but after 4,5 years they need some repairing here and there.
Black is a very calming and cozy ‘colour’ for your bedroom. The only downside is that it stains very easily.
After browsing some of my favourite blogs a while ago I saw that the lovely Nina from Stylizimo painted her black walls with fresh teal.
It’s actually the same colour that we have in our living room but when I saw this, my heart made a litte jump. I’m excited to try a fresh, light new colour now!
Do you like it?
Whoa. I’m in love. How on earth could I’ve missed this beautiful brand House of Rym?
I want to have every.single.product.pretty.please. It just has ‘Marline’ written all over it.
So I’m saving up for some of these beauties. Over and out.
Our entry is a quite small, straight space. I’d like to have it functional but also welcoming without too much decoration involved.
With a super handy but quite large Bugaboo our entry looked way too small.
So I sold our cabinet and I love how much space we’ve gotten in return.
But ofcourse I can’t leave things completely empty. First I like to start with a functional and cute coat rack. I love this house shaped rack from Tas-Ka.
How is your entry decorated?
Have a great weekend!
It’s so nice of you to join us after such a long time.
How was your time abroad? I hope you’ve treated people on the other side of the world just as well.
Anyway, life looks much easier and happier when you’re around.
Are you planning on staying around for long? We sure do hope so! Because we love the long walks, the warmth on our skin and all the blossoming trees.
Good to have you back.
Wow, it’s been a long time since I posted my last wednesday wishes. But I’ve found some really cute stuff on the web that I had to share. Zara’s mini lookbook did a good job again (can they ever do wrong really?)
First of all I LOVE these dolls, and how about the repainted ladder for storage? Not to mention the super simple but oh so nice garland….
I think I need some extra time the upcoming weeks, because I have some serious crafting to do..
Remember a little while ago when our daughters room got featured on Kimderkamerstylist? Well, I got a sweet note from a reader who got so much inspiration from our room that she used the same ideas for her sons room.
It’s pretty much the same idea, but with different accessories like robots and even a spaceshuttle! The colours are a bit warmer and brighter, because tough boys need tough colours ;-)
I mean, how cool is this?
To me it’s so fun to see that I can inspire someone with my ideas, it’s an honor and the reason why I started blogging.
I hope to inspire you a lot more this year. Let’s cheers to that, shall we?
Our attic is still pretty much a mess since we’ve moved in here. I would love to change things up but before I start we have to do some serious cleaning.
The attic is quit big wich makes it tricky to decorate, since there are no walls or rooms. It’s just one big space where laundry meets workspace meets guestroom. I’ve been searching for inspiration to decorate it. The floors are white and there is a lot of natural light wich I like to use. It has to be airy, fun and fresh.
Here are some of my inspirations, and I’m planning on using pops of colour here and there.
Do you like it? What does your attic look like?
