In bed with Fred

No no, I’m not actually in bed with Fred. I found this super cute and funny (what’s in a name?) australian brand online and it’s so different than all the famous brands out there, très refreshing.
The colours, the prints, and even the names, I love it!

I’m especially fond of the paper, scissors, ROCK sheets and the cross my heart quilt. And pssst…. they ship internationally, yay!
So I hope Fred will come and sleep over soon :-)

Change is good

So yeah, I changed some things up in our girls room. Story of my life.

The cute wallstickers made place for these lovely prints. They’re actually postcards but I like them as walldecorations as well!
We’ve also been changing some things in our kitchen and I’m so excited about it. It’s not finished yet but I’ll show you the results when it’s done.

Have a lovely day!

Chalk that chalk

I think I’ve bought this frame more than over a year ago for only three euros.
It had the most hideous embroidered fabric (think orange-yellow sunset with dark green fields) but I just liked the frame.

I wanted to turn it into a chalk board but it ended up in the back of our closet. That was until a few weeks ago. I was about to return it to the thriftstore when I decided to just try it out and it was really simple and quick to do. The chalk paint needs some time to dry though (me being all impatient) but it turned out quite fun I think!

I still have another large chalk board in my mind from Bloomingville but that one comes with a large pricetag as well;-)
So in the meantime this will do.

Have a lovely weekend!

I fancy everything pastel so these pompoms had to come home with me. Usually I buy lots of decorations because of the colour (recognizable?) but I never end up using them. But there is something that I love about these pompoms, they’re very festive and turn everyday into a little party :-) score!

Have a great week!

A trip to winter wonderland

As we speak we are on the road to experience some real winter (because we didn’t had any over here).
We’re going to hit the slopes, make long walks, ride the sleigh.. All with our little girl. It’s her first trip abroad (not that she’s aware yet, I’m the one that’s acting all excited) but I’m really looking forward to some quality time.

There are a few post scheduled for next week, so I’ll still be around;-)

See you soon!

Pink monday

I have a hate/love relationship with mondays. Mostly hate, because of the long week that’s ahead, the end of a fun and relaxing weekend, a pile of laundry waiting.. But at the other hand, sometimes it’s good to kickstart the week with some good cleaning, healthy food, some excercize..

But this monday it was quite the hate monday, I totally didn’t feel like cleaning (or healthy food for that matter). So I had a fun day with my little girl, playing in her room while mommy could do some styling and decorating :-)
Here’s a chair I scored at the thriftstore (surpriiiiise!) a few weeks back. After a few coats with soft pink paint, it literally matches in every room (that includes the hallway as well).

Have a good week!

Wanted: time

No folks, I haven’t vanished or left for a vacation somewhere far away (boy does that sound good right now!).
I’ve been really busy with all sorts of fun projects around the house. The last two weeks I’ve been chrocheting, painting furniture, making garlands and much more. The only problem is that I have to finish some of these things first before starting something new (hence my absence).

And on top of that I did style and shoot some pictures last week, but they came out totally blurry. Bummer!
Now I’m waiting for some natural light wich is kind of difficult with this gloomy weather. I like to take most pictures in my daughters room because the light in there is so good. But she’s a sleepyhead so my chances are little.

I’ll be back soon, pinky swear ;-)

Ps. I’m all about mint green these days. Just love it!

Boys room

Remember a little while ago when our daughters room got featured on Kimderkamerstylist? Well, I got a sweet note from a reader who got so much inspiration from our room that she used the same ideas for her sons room.

It’s pretty much the same idea, but with different accessories like robots and even a spaceshuttle! The colours are a bit warmer and brighter, because tough boys need tough colours ;-)
I mean, how cool is this?

To me it’s so fun to see that I can inspire someone with my ideas, it’s an honor and the reason why I started blogging.
I hope to inspire you a lot more this year. Let’s cheers to that, shall we?

Rock that horse

I have a quit strong photographic memory. Once I see something that I really like, I keep it in mind.
Same thing happened with the campagne from Zara mini a while ago. I absolutely adored the styling from their collection, and ofcourse I was drooling all over the cute clothing and shoes.

But what I really kept in mind was the cool white rocking horse. I’ve been on the hunt for one ever since, but without luck.
So why would I write a blogpost then, I hear you think?
Wel, this morning, while running errands I bumped into the perfect rocking horse at the thriftstore. And the price was even more perfect, not even ten euros!
This was so my lucky day.

Stay tuned folks ;-)…

Owl always love you

I’m a sucker for all things cute. So when we visited London before christmas -my favourite city of all times- I wanted to take something home for my daughter.

There’s a really cute shop called Sass and Belle located in the area Seven Dials (must visit when in London!) who has a lot of things with owl prints.
The text speaks for itsself :-)

Have a lovely weekend!
